Birthday in Brooklyn: Botanic

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has one of the largest collections of bonsai in the world. I wish it had an ‘al’. I wish it took better care of its fish. I loved every minute I was there, celebrating my birth in the world by listening to the walking on snow, chatting with squirrels, praying with Bonsai, sweating in the Rain Forest.

  1. These images are stunning… keep this stuff up.

I remember this garden from when I was there in summer — high, humid New York August. It’s so much more beautiful in the snow… aw, I’m a little jealous. Thanks for sharing.

Also, I am calling you tomorrow. If not then, on Wednesday. šŸ™‚ Welcome back to the West Coast, my good friend!

    • Thanks Kalin, good to be back!

I did enjoy the starkness and the snow, but I imagine the garden’s pretty damn gorgeous in full bloom as well.
